If you just catch a whiff of this stuff, your soul will be transported to another realm.ĭevour certainly isn’t known for making diet-friendly frozen food. It’s tangy and sweet, with a bit of a smoky aftertaste that really drives it home. Of course, it’s the smokehouse barbeque sauce that seals this deal of a meal. The portion size is scant, but we found it worth mentioning simply because the quality is surprisingly high for frozen corn. You’ll also find a few kernels of corn in the mix, which are a nice little treat. This is maybe just a little bit too much potato. Now, that makes this a little heartier - in fact, this is pretty filling for its size - but that fact skews the balance of the dish toward the potatoes. We would have gladly traded all of the bacon for more of that wonderful sausage.Ī good portion of this dish is potatoes - in fact, we’d estimate that almost half the dish is chunks of potato. We would have loved to have had some gristly chunks in here, but this is gravely and has a little bit of a rubbery consistency. The bacon is ground up into bits, and it’s not all that exciting. We only found two slices in our entire meal, which isn’t nearly enough to leave us feeling satisfied. The only downside is that there just isn’t enough of this stuff. These slices have a delicious, spicy flavor that’s really enjoyable to eat. Instead of the balls of ground sausage you would expect to find on a pizza (or in a lasagna), these are more like slices of bratwurst. The sausage here is not what we were expecting. The chunks of chicken are also pretty reasonably sized. We’re not sure if those are authentic grill lines or if they’re painted on, but the smoky flavor suggests an actual grill. It’s juicy and flavorful, and the top of the meat is covered with grill lines. As the name implies, this is really just a tray filled with meat and potatoes that have been slathered with a smoky barbeque sauce.
